Life Drawings January to July, 2009 These are from an open studio class, no instruction, playing with different styles and media where the poses are being held for no more than 5 to 30 minutes. The first set are all of the same model, though not at the same session.

Ebony pencil, 20 minutes, one of the earliest sketches. Quick conte sketch, 5 minute. Charcoal pencil with a Japanese flavor. Ink pen with a brush tip. Mulitple shades of conte crayon on blue pastel paper.

Studies in ebony pencil, 5 to 10 minutes. Pen and ink in 20 minutes. Layout pencil, 25 minutes. Hard charcoal and white "charcoal", 30 minutes.
